WIP 2/13
Today my WIP is actually a finish. This was the quilt I was working on for my dad when he passed in November 2011. I went ahead and sent the top off for quilting and left it as was. I was just not able to bind it since it was too sad. I was finally able to do so and finished the binding last night. My mom asked for it when it is done so when she returns from Germany in two weeks I will give it to her. We will share a few tears and memories. All part of the healing process.
There are so many great WIPs to check out at Freshly Pieced. Be sure to drop in and see.

Quilting is an emotional process, especially when the quilts are for someone who holds a piece of your heart.
I'm sure this quilt will be a great comfort to your mother and help soothe the ache in her heart.
Great job getting the binding finished on a very emotional quilt.
It is a beautiful quilt and a wonderful way to remember your dad.
Great quilt. I am sure your mother will love it.
Great quilt. Hope finishing it brought you some comfort and that it brings comfort to your Mom.
