The danger of blogging

It is amazing what you find in blog land. I find the more incredible ideas and want to try them all. In recent days I have come across a lot of quilters making the scrappy trip quilt. After a while I started thinking maybe I should make one. Of course I need one. My scrap bin over floweth and I need to make room for more scraps. Right?

I pulled out all the scraps that are big enough to make strips and started pressing. I don't plan to start the actual quilt yet, but I do want to get the strips ready. Maybe this should be my next leader and ender quilt. I figure who knows what it will look like at the end.  A new adventure.

I agree, there is so much fun stuff showing up in blogs. My bucket list isn't ever going to be finished! Enjoy your new adventure.

I know what you mean. My favorites list had at least 200 sites marked with new ideas. My new computer already has 20 and I've only had it a couple of weeks.

I thought you were going to say the danger of the internet was not actually getting anything done at home. lol

I have saved more quilt tutorials, quilt and block ideas than I will ever make, but I enjoy the "hunt."

It is dangerous! I have been trying to resist that trip around the world project but there are so many wonderful quilt pictures being posted. It's hard to not get excited and jump in! I hope you have fun getting your strips ready - great idea you have to make it a leader/ender project.

I feel the same way about the scrappy trip quilt - I printed the directions yesterday and looked at my scrap strips last night - I could sure use a way to get rid of them.

Very exciting to see what emerges :)

Yes, I have been watching the ever-expanding number of bloggers who are scrappily tripping around the world too! I really want to make one but as Shakespeare said "To thine own self be true!"

I hadn't heard of it until now but it looks really fun! I just might have to make one. I've got so much fabric and it just sits there. This way I can use more "scraps".
