I have always wanted to make a Double Wedding Ring quilt, but the idea of all the little pieces and the curves was just scary. I think it is time to try. I am on a mission to use up some of the many 30s prints I have and they are perfect for the DWR. I figure with the Go Cutter, it would be pretty easy.
Hence, my new toy. Of course I have not started on the quilt yet.....sorta. As soon as I opened the box I had to try cutting out just a few pieces to see how they look. Now I have to restrain myself for a little bit. The dies cut the pieces with notches to line up so I am expecting it will come together easily. At least that I what I am telling myself right now. According to my friend I started a new quilt but I am going have to say until I sew on it, it is not official!!
I would start sewing this weekend, but I will be headed to the Road to California Quilt Show. I have never been to a large quilt show so it will be a lot of fun.
