I have been working on my Simply Woven blocks. I have to admit they are not my favorite but I just need to keep going to get them done. Now that I have a few done, I do like them better. If I stop now, I will never finish it. LOL. I have about 8 blocks done. The picture is terrible. I need better light in my sewing room.
I actually did a lot of sewing this weekend so I will have to post some other projects this week. I am over 1/3 of the way done with my hand quilting on the Bowties quilt and love it.
Check out what is happening on the other design walls at Judy's blog.

I just discovered that block on ModaBake shop. I fell in love with the QUILT..the block I'm using as a 'leaders and enders' project. HOPEFULLY, it will lead to a decrease in my 2 1/2 inch strip pile! I wandered over from Judy's Design wall monday. I am an AF grandaughter, daughter, wife and we have an active duty DD..so mom too! My parents were stationed at Spangdahlem (hope I spelled that right) and Ramstein. Nice to meet you!
They're nice looking blocks, even if they are a pain! I hear you on the stopping - I quit quilting one of mine when I ran out of bobbin thread...and just didn't start again.
Is it difficult to keep the pieces straight for this block - it looks like it would be easy for me to make a LOT of mistakes.
I like the color combination you are using.
Keep working, and you'll be finished in no time.
What is it you don't like about it? I like woven blocks of all kinds. Yours look lovely to me... Lynne.
Even if you don't like this block, it looks great! Your woven pieces all line up well.
Sometimes if you suspend disbelief and keep going, you end up liking the project. (I just went through a similar experience with a table topper that, for a while I thought was going to be absolutely hideous. )
There are so many quilts that I'm not sure of in process, but there are none that I don't love once they are finished. I am sure you will like it more when it is done.
I think those blocks are lovely! The colours work together so well.
Hang in there with your woven blocks: they look beautiful and quite complicated...
It may not be your favorite, but I like the way it's turning out. The colorway is comfortable, but the orange stripe gives it a pop.
Your blocks are looking good. Love the color scheme. My husband's favorite quilt was an absolute pain to piece, but he loves it. Sometimes the most unfun quilts are the most loved by someone else. Wonder why that is?
