2013 The Year of the Unfinished Project

I realized that I finished 15 quilts in 2012 and not a single one was a UFO.  That list remains piled in my sewing room.  I resolved to work on them and try to get at least a few completed this year.

While visiting Kate's blog Life in Pieces, I read a post about a blog sponsoring the Year of the Unfinished Project.  Excellent idea!!!

So for January, my plan is to:
1.  Complete the hand quilting on half of the blocks of my Bowtie quilt.  That will be 45 completed.
2.  Work on, or maybe even finish, the top of the Black Fish quilt I have been working on for a good ten years.

Check it all out and watch the progress.

I need to focus on some of my UFOs; maybe, this is the way to do it.

Oh, hand quilting. I haven't done that in a while. It's so relaxing. Looking forward to seeing those UFO's

Welcome aboard -- great to have you!

That's a nice concise focus list -- I think I may have over-extended myself with mine!

Best wishes as you work on completing your projects! It will be a major victory when you can call them finished:)

Oooh, I should make finishing projects my goal this year, too! I have a stack of stuff that has been unfinished for far too long.

Congrats on finishing the 12 quilts. That's 12 quilts that didn't end up on your UFO list. Looking forward to seeing your progress each month. Is the Black Fish quilt your oldest UFO?

Even if they weren't UFOs, a quilt a month is a good finish total!

15 quilts in 2012? Fantastic. At least you finished what you started. Good luck with the UFOs in 2013, look forward to seeing your progress with them. (But am still very impressed with your production last year. Wow!)
